Niche Media CEO and Founder Jason Binn has announced the promotion of Kristin Detterline-Munro to editor in chief of Philadelphia Style magazine.

Detterline-Munro moves up from the deputy editor position. Prior to joining Niche Media, Detterline-Munro served as editor at Aroundphilly.com for six years while also freelancing at a variety of other high profile local media outlets such as Daily Candy, WHERE Magazine, South Jersey Magazine, City Paper, among others.

“Throughout the past year, Kristin has proven herself to be an invaluable asset to the company,” said Binn. “Her insider’s knowledge of the city, the relationships she’s built with Philadelphia tastemakers and power players, and her unfailing passion for producing entertaining stories and gorgeous imagery make her exceptionally qualified for this position.”

“I am extremely excited about the opportunities that lie ahead,” added Detterline-Munro. “I grew up in South Jersey and have been an avid reader of Philadelphia Style magazine since its inception. I plan to carry on the magazine’s practice of top-notch local luxury coverage."
